The peel or dermo-peel is a procedure in aesthetic medicine that consists of eliminating a layer of dead cells on the surface of the facial skin in order to regenerate it. It consists of applying a chemical substance (most often an acid) to the skin in order to provoke a limited and controlled destruction of the epidermis or even the superficial layers of the dermis.

The purpose of the peel is to regenerate the skin of the face or to treat dermatological sequelae.
