Radiofrequency treatment is an aesthetic medicine treatment used to firm up the face, upper eyelids, neck, décolleté and reshape the figure, particularly the arms, thighs, buttocks, abdomen and flanks.

A radiofrequency session takes place in the doctor’s office and lasts from 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the extent of the areas treated. The treatment may cause a tingling sensation and heat on the skin, which is well tolerated with the use of a cooler. Medical radiofrequency does not require local anesthesia.

After the treatment, the skin may be red and slightly swollen for a few hours only. A post-treatment cream will be recommended before you leave the clinic. Normal skin care and make-up can be resumed the next day.

It is possible to observe a transient erythema (redness) that can last from a few minutes to a few hours. A warmth may be felt on the skin immediately after the treatment, but it will dissipate quickly. Treatment of the eyes may result in transient swelling; we suggest that you sleep with your head elevated for 24 hours after treatment.
