Arm lift or brachioplasty is a cosmetic surgery of the arms that effectively fights against sagging skin of the arms and treats fatty deposits and excess skin.
Dr. Abbou and Dr. Pessis use a special technique to position the scar in an extremely discreet place, under the arm, which is not visible from the front or the back.
Most often, a liposuction of the arm is performed, which will also remove all excess fat from the arm. The entire arm is reshaped and appears rejuvenated and refined.

In the operating room, under general anesthesia or local anesthesia depending on the existing excess skin.
On the posterior part of the arms, the plastic surgeon performs a homogeneous liposuction which allows to reduce the thickness of the arms and to refine them.
On the inner side of the arms, excess skin is removed to allow the arms to be tightened.
The Urgotouch laser is most often applied to the scar at the end of the procedure in order to prevent any delay in healing and to obtain beautiful scars.
After the operation, some bruising and swelling will appear during the first two weeks.
The postoperative period is not painful. The activities of daily life can be resumed within 15 days.
The final results are visible six months after the operation.
A 15-day leave of absence from work will be prescribed if you are covered by health insurance (after massive weight loss)
Sports activities will have to be interrupted for 6 weeks.
Scars will continue to improve for a year and are generally not very visible. When the surgical indication is well established, scars are not a problem and patients are very satisfied.
