Liposuction of the love handles and hips takes place in the operating room under local anesthesia or general anesthesia depending on your case. The operation lasts 1 to 2 hours depending on the amount of fat to be removed.
Post-operative care
On average, the results are visible two months after the operation and they continue to improve for several months.
The postoperative period is simple. Bruises are present for about fifteen days. The final result is visible after one to two months after complete disappearance of swelling and bruising.
Your final liposuction results may take up to a year to become visible. This will ultimately depend on the extent of your treatment, your post-operative care and your healing process.

Loose skin does not significantly improve after liposuction. Liposuction improves the shape of the body, but does not significantly improve the quality of the skin texture. Liposuction requires incisions in the skin, which means that scarring is inevitable. The length of the incisions is usually very short and we take care to place the incisions in discreet places such as natural skin folds, making the scars well hidden and barely noticeable.
Is it necessary to wear a support garment after liposuction?
It is important to follow your surgeon’s recommendations for wearing a compression garment after liposuction as this will help achieve a better result. The postoperative compression garment significantly reduces postoperative swelling.
