Knee liposuction is for people who complain of having fat knees. This is often the source of a major complex, and these people no longer dare to wear shorts or a bathing suit.

Procedure for liposuction of the knees
The principle of liposuction of the knees is to refine the inner face of the knees by removing excess deep fat. Liposuction of the knees is performed in the operating room, under local or general anesthesia, depending on your choice. It is an outpatient procedure (no hospitalization required). Liposuction is performed using extremely fine cannulas (microcannulas), which allow for gentle and even liposuction of the areas to be treated.
Post-operative care
After liposuction of the knees, bruising and swelling will appear during the first two weeks. The postoperative period is not painful, but aches and pains and discomfort when walking are frequent for one to two weeks. The activities of daily life can be resumed within a few days. A support garment must be worn for 4 weeks to ensure optimal results, and scar care and massage will be prescribed. The final results are visible after six months.

Is there any need to wear a compression garment after knee liposuction ?
Yes, it is important to follow your surgeon’s recommendations for wearing a compression garment after liposuction as this will help achieve a better result. The post-operative compression garment significantly reduces post-operative swelling.
Is it possible to treat excess knee fat without surgery?
There has been a recent explosion of truly effective non-surgical body contouring techniques such as cryolipolysis. However, liposuction will always be the gold standard in body contouring. It allows the surgeon to remove larger volumes of fat and reshape your body more precisely. It also allows for a one-step treatment whereas non-surgical techniques always require multiple treatments.
Can liposuction of the knees treat cellulite?
Many patients ask this question and most don’t like the answer: liposuction is not a recommended treatment for cellulite. In fact, there is no treatment that has been proven to eliminate cellulite. Fat and cellulite are not the same thing. Fat accumulates under the skin, while the dimpled appearance of cellulite on the skin is caused by an excessive accumulation of fat around the dense fibers between the skin and the deeper tissues. Cellulite is extremely common, affecting 80% to 90% of women.
We have evaluated various products and procedures that are expensive and do not provide what we consider positive results. Our patients are not interested in temporary solutions; we want patients to be satisfied with their results, so we do not recommend these therapies.
Will the skin on my knees be firm and tight after liposuction?
Loose skin does not significantly improve after liposuction. Liposuction improves the shape of the body, but does not significantly improve the quality of the skin texture. Dr. Abbou may also recommend vaser-assisted liposuction to help tighten the skin.
